The process is led by our Creative Director, Jade, who works closely with our dedicated Purchasing Team and our talented in-house Graphic Designers, who devote months to crafting and refining each detail of our holiday collection.
The journey starts with a review of our previous Christmas collections. Reflecting on what our customers loved most, we take note of popular designs, colours, and product types, using these insights to inspire our upcoming range. This ensures that each year’s selection evolves from a foundation of cherished traditions and new ideas that have resonated with our customers. Customers can seamlessly add to their Christmas collections every year, confident that the new additions will beautifully complement what they already treasure.
Next, we imagine the look and feel of the new season, outlining ranges, colours, and specific items that will make up the heart of the collection. We draw inspiration from classic holiday themes and colours while incorporating new accents and patterns that add a fresh twist. Australia is unique in celebrating Christmas during the Summer, and we pull themes that reflect this one-of-a-kind environment. We incorporate colours that are inspired by our landscape - blues for the coastline and sky, deep greens for our beautiful bush, and sandy naturals for our glistening coastlines. This ensures all our Christmas designs feel true to Australian Christmas celebrations - fresh, bright, and relaxed; perfectly suited to outdoor entertaining, Christmas barbeques, and cricket in the backyard!
The ideas begin to take shape as our talented Graphic Design Team creates, sources, and refines the prints and patterns, producing hundreds of variations until everything is just right. Working hand in hand with our trusted suppliers to produce samples, the products start to come to life — from festive linens that set the mood celebration to timeless decor that becomes part of cherished traditions. Each prototype is thoroughly reviewed by our Purchasing Team and every detail thoughtfully considered to make sure it reaches our standards. Colours are perfected, materials refined, and finishes adjusted until every piece is perfect.
Once the products arrive at our warehouse, our Styling & Photography Team works their magic, capturing each piece beautifully for our catalogue, website, and social media. Every detail is carefully considered to ensure the spirit of the collection shines through in every image. Meanwhile, our talented Visual Merchandisers begin planning and crafting in-store displays, thoughtfully designing layouts to bring the collection to life. By October, our stores and website are transformed into enchanting Christmas wonderlands! From twinkling lights to elegantly styled tables, every corner invites you in to find ideas that will make your celebrations truly special.
