Rhys and Kirsten Stanley, along with their three children—Jagger (6), Sloane (4), and Hudson (nearly 2), are eagerly anticipating a special Christmas in their newly completed dream home, located on a peaceful farm near Geelong, Victoria. Embracing family values and a love for the outdoors, the Stanleys have created a lifestyle that beautifully blends modern comforts with rustic charm.
The couple found their way to Geelong through Rhys’s football career and have made it their permanent home, feeling a sense of community with the Geelong Football Club. Rhys, originally from Berri in South Australia, is known for his athleticism on the field as an AFL player for the Geelong Cats. His versatility as a ruckman and forward has made him a valuable team asset since joining the Cats in 2015, after beginning his career at St Kilda.
Kirsten, who grew up on a farm in Western Australia and later modelled in Europe, has blended her cosmopolitan style with her rural roots to create a warm, inviting home for their family. Together, they cherish an outdoor lifestyle, whether exploring their expansive farm or spending time in the garden.
They try to shop locally and support Geelong businesses and Kirsten often pops into the Provincial Home Living store on Pakington Street. This year, they’ve chosen Provincial Home Living products to infuse the spirit of Christmas into their new home with a beautifully decorated Christmas tree that sparkles with fairy lights and a selection of metallic and red Yule baubles. She cleverly utilised some of our Gruyère flower pots to showcase extra ornaments. This way, once all the presents have been opened, the tree and its surroundings still look complete. After Christmas, the pots can be replanted with seasonal blooms.
Their dining table is carefully set to delight every member of the family, with bold colours of red and green that children love to make the holiday even more memorable. The bonbons are always a favourite, our 3-tier stand adds some rustic charm and moss green velvet ribbons look beautiful tied to our red checked placecard holders and placed on the Amour napkins. There are also placecard holders decorating the beautifully wrapped presents. The majestic Yule Berry Wreath is a favourite with all the family.
