2023 is ending and what a year it has been for everyone at Provincial. It’s been a wonderful, exciting year from January through to December, and we’ve enjoyed every moment.
We’ve been involved with so many things this year, so it’s hard to list them all but here are some of the highlights of 2023.
01
500 New Arrivals
Our purchasing team are always designing and on the lookout for new products and this year we have launched over 500 new products to tempt you, and they sit beautifully alongside some of our long-standing classic pieces that remain firm favourites.
These products could not arrive in our stores and into your homes without the involvement of everyone in our head office, our warehouse, our visual merchandising team and our in-store team members.
02
Beautiful Imagery
This year we had six beautiful location photoshoots, travelling around Victoria from Lyonville to Cape Schanck and everywhere in between. Our photography team have captured beautiful imagery from Easter celebrations to cosy Winter moments and blissful Summer days with carefully planned photoshoots. Our customers get to enjoy these beautiful images online, in our catalogues and our emails.

Proud Sponsors of the Twilight Beach Polo 2023
Provincial Home Living was again proud to be one of the sponsors of the annual Twilight Beach Polo at St Kilda Beach in February. It showcases the best of everything Melbourne has to offer – fashion, good food, wine, an amazing atmosphere, and of course, the excitement of polo on the stunning St Kilda West Beach. The Provincial Pavilion was thoughtfully furnished by the talented Provincial stylists with a mix of Tuscan and Casablanca dining tables and Bistro chairs. The chosen colour palette of navy, natural and white conjured up a Hamptons vibe, perfectly suiting the St Kilda foreshore. The 300+ guests who joined in the festivities in the Provincial Pavilion enjoyed delicious food and beverages supplied by West Beach Pavilion.
The Twilight Beach Polo seems to go from strength to strength and is getting bigger and better each year - it has turned into a world-class event for both players and spectators. Congratulations to the Provincial Polo team who were one of the two winning teams on the day, beating the Luxury Escapes team narrowly by two goals with a final score of 8-6.

Travelling Design Studio
In February, the Design Studio packed up their samples and computers and made a road trip to Ballarat where they were kept very busy for a couple of days with a full book of appointments. The locals embraced the idea of seeking professional advice on redecorating or styling a room, or a whole home. It was so successful that the Design Studio team took to the skies and set off to Adelaide in May, to set up in our stores at Mile End and Gepps Cross – again this was a huge success with lots of happy customers.

Supporting International Women's Day
Every year, International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated around the world on the 8th of March. It’s a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women and marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality.
To celebrate International Women’s Day this year we supported SisterWorks. This charity is dedicated to helping refugee, migrant, and asylum-seeking women with education, vocational skills, and employment opportunities. Over the past 10 years, they have supported over 2,000 migrant, refugee, and asylum seeker women from 105 countries to build a better life in Australia through skills training and work opportunities.

Featured on the Block
Provincial Home Living were proud sponsors of The Block in 2023 once again. Over 100 Provincial products were spotted throughout the season. We were thrilled to see which furniture and homewares pieces the contestants chose each week in the hopes of winning over the judges.
Over the 13 weeks, each Monday morning we posted a summary on the Provincial Journal detailing what the five Block teams got up to – the ups and downs, the judge’s comments and of course showcased the fabulous, finished rooms.

Christmas Arrived In Stores and Online
Over the next few months of the year, all our carefully designed Christmas products started arriving in our warehouse. At Provincial our Christmas planning starts in February each year when our clever Purchasing team and in-house Graphic Designers start working on concepts for the launch of Christmas in all our stores and online. They work feverishly, designing, refining, and sampling products until they are 100% happy with their creative endeavours.
In October our beautiful Christmas collection arrives in stores and the Visual Merchandising team puts together inspirational displays of the Christmas products - the excitement reaches a peak. Organised into two coordinated collections, our Christmas collection has everything you need to trim your tree, decorate your home, set your table, wrap your gifts and more.
08
Katie Sargent Design Collaboration
In October we did a beautiful collaboration with well-known interior designer, Katie Sargent. She chose some of her favourite Christmas products to decorate her Christmas table, her tree, and her home, and we’re sure you’ll agree – they all look beautiful. Katie has chosen a timeless theme of natural, green, and white with a touch of gold. With her keen eye and lovely aesthetic – she created a Christmas setting that we all wanted to be part of.
09
Christmas Competition
Our Christmas competition ran in November, and we had a record number of entries. We asked you to tell us about your favourite product from the 2023 Provincial Christmas collection and why. Thank you to everyone who entered the competition and took the time to share their favourite Provincial Home Living Christmas product, it made this competition very special. Reading about the special memories and experiences you associate with our products was heart-warming.

Celebrating 21 Years
In 2023 we celebrated 21 wonderful years of Provincial Home Living with a VIP day in stores and online.
Provincial Home Living had humble beginnings as a small, family-owned haberdashery store in Wangaratta, Victoria. That small store, which was opened in 2002, started the journey throughout the years and around the country. Now, over 20 years later, with a bit of luck and a lot of hard work, we have grown to 35 carefully planned stores around Australia.
So, the countdown is on till the end of the year when we welcome 2024 and look forward to everything it brings.
