There are several ways to display a collection of photos on both a wall and mantel piece to create the perfect balance. Try clustering frames together to turn an empty wall into a simple but gorgeous visual display.
Choose the pictures you love of different sizes and shapes.
Find the frames that suit – But try not to let a frame overwhelm a picture.
Mix it up – Add visual interest by using different size frames & styles. It doesn't all have to be the same size, colour or style. You can also consider placing them
both portrait & landscape
Lay it out on the floor first – It's a simple way to arrangeand rearrange without making markings in your wall.
Think of the group photos as one – using the large frame to anchor the cluster of frames and arrange smaller ones around.
Balance – Always stand back and have a look. Re-arrange til the group feels visually balanced. You don't want one colour group, or heavier frames all on one side.
Spread things out a bit
Measure - The frames should have equal distance between each frame within the group.
Cherish your memories, and fill a wall with framed photos from your life. It adds a stylish, but personal touch and we can't think of any better artwork in your home than the beautiful faces of friends and family adorning your walls.
